During my normal figure drawing sessions, I decided to get out my laptop and do a ZSculpt of the model instead of traditional drawing... and here is the result. It was an interesting experiment.

I really love how you can come up with some really interesting hard surface shapes really quickly. Makes exploring shapes a real joy. :) Anyway, here's an update.

He's just Big Guy for now. Still need to break the symmetry and put him on some shoulders/torso. I guess I'm just addicted to the hard surface brushes :) Anyway, he started life as a sphere. Mostly Clay/Clay Buildup then a lot of Polish brush.

Ok!! I didn't see any potential in my Warrior so I've kinda stopped (not to mention how heavy mudbox tends to be on my PC). So instead, I've gone back to my favorite sculpting program Zbrush. I figured it was time to try out those hard surface brushes and I must say they are so awesome. Anyway, my intention of this sculpt is just to do a bust - maybe I'll also texture and light.

Lately, I've been going through some kind of block (and a couple of distractions - StarCraft 2). Anyway, I always do a sketch and tell myself that I'm going to it in 3D and it never happens or I get distracted... so since the 3D stuff isn't gonna get anywhere for now, here is a sketch. :) Oh yea... just a reminder that Expose 8 is out. Buy it and go to page 213 :) You'll also see my friend, Pappy, next to mine (page 212)
